Your staff are important to us as well. We pride ourselves on employee retention and have a 90% retention rate. Throughout this process we occasionally have people who retire, but generally maintain the staff you had.
How long does it take from beginning to end to finalize a pharmacy transaction?

The timing and length of the deal falls in between 3-4 months as an average. During the due diligence phase we gather information and depending on the intricacies of the business, it can vary by a few weeks or a couple of months.
Occasionally during the due diligence process items of concern may arise, however we always work to discuss these items in a timely and transparent manner to work through any challenges.
How can I be assured that the transaction stays confidential?
How do you differ from a broker?
Brokers operate as an agent to the deal. They list the sale of the business for the vendor and market it for purchase. We purchase and operate pharmacies across Canada. We have a team of experienced Pharmacists and Operation specialists that assist the store teams post sale.

Every situation is different. We will work with you throughout the sale process to make sure your post sale professional life is what you wish. Some vendors continue working and others choose to retire. We accommodate all scenarios.

2006
Founders graduate from University of Toronto Pharmacy and immediately acquire a remote pharmacy and a speciality mental health pharmacy
2013
Care grows to six stores and the founders partner with university classmates as operators
2017
Care expands outside of Ontario for the first time to Western Canada
2018
Care continues a national expansion plan with the first locations in Eastern Canada
2019
With growth now to 40 locations, a minority investment from Private Equity is brought in, leaving Pharmacists in control while allowing for further acquisitions
2023
Care grows to 60 locations and enters a strategic partnership with Calgary Co-op. Led by the same management team, including the original founders, provides a strong and preferred alternative to the other consolidators and acquirers in the market
